But have quickly realized our mission to bring work to the screen was just the beginning. We are now working on bringing a New Writing production to the stage at the biggest Fringe Festival in the world!

About Our Team

Get to know the wonderful people behind 'Oh Plagues'

Bitota Mpolo

Bitota Mpolo is an accomplished actor, director, and writer with a strong foundation in film and theatre. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Film and Media Arts from American University, where she wrote, directed, and produced the short film The Cottage (2022). Currently, Bitota is pursuing her Master’s degree in Acting at East 15 Acting School.

Her recent stage credits include Emmanuel Giri in The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui (East 15, dir. Sara Brodie), Henry Bolingbroke/Ross in Richard II (Shakespeare’s Globe Higher Education Project, dir. Philip Bird), and Helen in After the Dance (East 15, dir. Aaron Phillips).

‘Oh Plagues’ marks Bitota’s debut as both writer and director for a stage production, as well as her first performance at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Gabrielle Norma Griffin

Gabrielle-Norma Griffin is an American Actor/Singer based in London, UK. She is an artist who for years has made work concerning women’s related issues and how that intersects with race. Gabrielle-Norma received her M.A from East 15 Acting School, trained as a singer and actor. She spent 3 years studying and performing for Denver Center for the Performing Arts education.

AnyLú Aguilar

Anylú Aguilar is a Mexican psychologist, actress and movement practitioner based in London, currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Acting at East15 Acting School. Dedicated to sharing and creating stories representing the diversity and complexity of life, Anylú invites audiences and artists to reflect, relate, connect and enjoy!

Her recent theatre credits include Ernesto Roma in The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui (East 15, Dir. Sara Brodie), Carmen in Our House (East15 Devising Play, Dir. Nicole Palomba), King Henry IV in Henry the IV Part 1 (Shakespeare’s Globe Higher Education Project, Dir. Francesca Hseih), and Hester in Deep Blue Sea (East15, Dir. Robin Sneller).

Chanyin Long

Chanyin Long is a Chinese actor trained at Xinghai Conservatory of Music and currently studying at East 15 Acting School. She has performed in a range of musical theatre showcases and collaborated on original productions with Guangzhou Opera House. Credits include Scud/Bia (Welcome to Thebes), Prince Hal (Henry VI Part 1), and Hester (The Deep Blue Sea). With a background in movement, voice, and musicality, she aims to bring clarity and depth to every role.

Mia Amore

Mia Amore (she/they) is first-generation American actor/singer who is currently based in London getting her MFA at East 15 Acting School. She received her BA in Acting from Indiana State University in 2023. Their most recent credits include Prince Hal (Henry IV Part 1), Butcher/Public Defender (The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui), Lady Macbeth/Witch (Macbeth), and Caroline (I and You). Mia is dedicated to creating art that celebrates diverse perspectives and identities while challenging audience’s perception of themselves and the world around them. Mia is so excited to be making their Edinburgh Fringe debut in “Oh Plagues” and hopes you have as much fun watching as they’ve had rehearsing. instagram: @1overg1rl

Sunny-Lee Ven Djick

Sunny-Lee van Dijk is a Dutch actress, theatre maker, and writer based between the Netherlands and London. She is completing an MA in Acting (International) at East 15 Acting School in London, with training in Uta Hagen technique, Grotowski, and Laban Movement. She also has experience in Meisner and Chekhov approaches, and has further enriched her practice through workshops in puppetry, mime, musicality, storytelling, and devised theatre.

Her recent credits include Richard II as part of a residency at Shakespeare’s Globe, The Night Watch, and The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui, in which she played the title role. In the Netherlands, she has worked with multiple theatre groups including Theatre Group The Young Ones and De Verhalenboot, and has performed in, written, and directed community-based commissioned productions for local festivals and neighborhood celebrations in various locations across the Netherlands.

Jessica Nlabu

Jessica Nlabu is a dynamic Swiss actress based in London, currently training on the MA Acting (International) course at East 15 Acting School. Known for her fearless emotional range, magnetic stage presence, and powerful vulnerability, Jessica brings a fierce authenticity to every role she inhabits.

Recent credits include Henry IV, Part 2 at Shakespeare’s Globe, where she played Warwick, and the naturalistic student production Night’s Watch, in which she portrayed Helena. She also took a lead role in a devised piece under Gema Brockis’ direction, showcasing her strong collaborative instincts and bold physicality. Past musical theatre experience includes Sister Act (Deloris Van Cartier), Les Misérables (Fantine), as well as standout roles in Hairspray, Grease, and West Side Story. These productions allowed her to combine her powerful vocal ability, sharp comedic timing, and deep emotional connection to character.

Jessica is fluent in German and French and brings a richly layered cultural perspective to her work. Her current solo project, Skin Too Small for All This Fire - inspired by Chekhov’s Nina and rooted in her own lived experiences - explores identity, BPD, and emotional intensity with raw honesty and poetic power.

She is passionate about telling stories that mix dark humor with vulnerability, and she thrives in roles that challenge conventional narratives.

Chloe Gene Lateulere

Chloe-Gene Lateulere is an American actor, singer, and current student at East 15 working towards a Master of Fine Arts in Acting. Her recent credits include Polya (Philistines, East 15), Poins/Westmorland (Henry IV Part Two, Shakespeare’s Globe Higher Education), Galina/Malory U/S (The Last Match, 1st Stage Theatre) and Willow (Tracks, Rorschach Theatre). Training: BM in Musical Theatre and Minor in Dance from The Catholic University of America (Class of 2022), Signature Theatre Overtures Program (Class of 2022).
